Aerobics
Dance is the new aerobics; a wide variety of styles
incorporated into studio sessions to create a workout everyone can enjoy.
Members of Chelmers are flocking to classes, which include a wide variety
of dances from the Lambada to Aerofunk. Typical of this new trend is Latino Lo, an aerobic dance class with
Latino, salsa and aerobic moves, or Le Roc lessons, with easy to learn
moves from the 1950s, set to current day music.
In addition to burning calories, dancing also works a variety of muscle groups.
For example, classes like Lindy Hop, a form of swing, can really tone up
the upper body arms and chest, whereas Merengue, a variation of Salsa,
gives the torso and lower body a thorough workout.
